After it stopped raining this evening I grabbed Aniston & my camera & out the door we went. I was excited to capture this moment on film because I knew how excited she would be for this new experience {errr repeat experience I just didn't have my camera the other day.} Aniston officially turned 21 months old on Monday. I haven't officially taken her 21 month photos but I figured between these & her two valentine's day shoots we had it covered.

Aniston also is teething again which means every kid in her Gymboree class today felt her wrath unfortunately her sweet friend Molly got the worst of it. Aniston sat in time out not once but two times during her {45 minute} class today. Unfortunately I don't think they were very productive since I had to sit her on the counter top & stay with her. She didn't even give hugs & say "Sorry" immediately which is her typical style. Her teeth must have really been bothering her because even when I asked her to apologize & hug Molly she wouldn't.

She was however amazing during the rest of the day. We went to the NEX & I had a Doctor appointment as well. She held my hand & stayed with me. Kissed the baby & fell asleep peacefully on the way home. I didn't have to fight her to change her diaper or bribe her with chocolate peanut butter M & M's to get in her car seat. Overall we had a great day. I love days like these {minus when Aniston the bully comes out.}

Now I am off to enjoy hulu+ on my cellphone in bed. Did I mention I love life without cable?!

Where's Aniston?

Aniston loves to play this game mostly right before bedtime. Every time we play I think about my Aunt Donna's sister, Laura, & a story she told me about playing this game with her daughter Payton. Unfortunately I won't go into details because it could be considered inappropriate for some readers but it certainly brings the biggest smile to my face every. single. time. we. play.

It has been chilly here in Florida the last couple of days {by chilly I mean in the 50's.} Today was beautiful & after we dropped off the goodies to our neighbors we decided to put Aniston's new color pencils & watercolor paint to good use.

Happy Valentine's Day

Although we are missing the man in our life it is another holiday we can check off during this deployment. We are so proud of him & what he is doing for our country. I spent my morning making banana bread & homemade sugar scrub for my neighbors. Aniston spent her morning watching Elmo, drinking milk, & snacking on Cheerios.

Berek sent me Edible Arrangements the other day & it was amazing. I love fruit so much & cant imagine a better gift! {Thanks again Baber}

Wipeout Wednesday

Forget Hump Day we had Wipeout Wednesday here at the Dostie house. Last night after I took out the trash I realized the garbage bag had leaked on the kitchen floor tile as well as the tile in front of the garage entry. {Gross!} I am such a clean freak about the trash. I spray the kitchen trash can with Lysol & wash my hands after I have any contact with the trash or trash can. First I wiped up the spilled liquid on the floor but I knew I couldn't stand walking around until after I steamed both floors completely. So I cleared the kitchen floor put on Elmo for Aniston & preheated the steamer. Aniston was so into Elmo I was able to get the floor done pretty quickly {which was awesome because then I could relax & not feel totally gross.} As I was finishing up she started to head for the kitchen floor & I told her to keep off the floor because it was "Hot" & "Dangerous" & she turned around. Only to return another minute later but this time she was on a mission & could not be stopped. The next thing I know Aniston slips & hits her head on the tile floor. Oh no! I ran to her & snuggled her immediately. She began crying {well screaming really.} After a few moments she had calmed down & I noticed she had a little knot on her head. We ran over to Mimi's next door & decided we should head off the the ER to have her checked out. Once we arrived at the ER everything moved pretty quickly. I figured everything was okay because she was acting completely normal. She was flirting with everyone & flashing her big smile & giggling as we walked in circles around the waiting room. We got to see the Doctor relatively fast {thanks to an empty ER.} She told me Aniston looked fine & that I would just need to check her pupils with a flashlight every 2 hours or 4 hours while she was sleeping. While we were waiting for Aniston's release papers we started playing hide and go seek with the curtains. As the game progressed I realized Aniston was getting way too wild & it was time to stop. Just as I was about to pull her off the chair the Nurse walked in & Aniston fell off her chair. At least this time she used her hands to catch her. What a night! After stopping by Mimi's for some ice cream we decided it was time for bed! I considered sleeping on her floor but I knew that would be so uncomfortable for me. So instead I decided to leave both of our doors completely open as well as plug in the monitor. When my alarm went off I went in to check on her & she seemed fine & was snug as a bug curled up in fetal position. I tried for a few minutes to get her eyes open with no such luck. So I decided it wasn't completely necessary & back to bed I went. Unfortunately Aniston decided at that moment it was time to party & so we did until 5 am. Then we all fell asleep in our bed. Woo what a day! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any photos of any of the events but I am so glad she is okay. I will not be steaming my floors anymore while she is awake {in fact soon I won't be steaming the floors at all because that is Berek's job!}

So today we took it easy & hung out at home watching Elmo & taking a walk. Aniston climbed up on the sofa with my sherpa & snuggled up. She stated she wanted to go "sleepy" which didn't happen but she definitely was in a daze because I took 10 photos of her without her noticing at all.

Could you be mine? I had big plans for Aniston & her Valentine's Day picture. However they didn't work out quite as expected. Why can't toddlers just do what is asked of them? I mean I just wanted a few pictures of Aniston's sitting still. {Way too much to ask for these days!} Even though I searched hard to find the perfect dress, cute socks, & shoes there was no hope. There will be no pictures in Aniston's Valentine's Day cards she sends out this year. Oh well.

Daddy you will be proud to know not only does Aniston say "pane" when she is indoors or out she now says "Jets" or "P - free" depending on the sound. She isn't quite perfect at this skill yet but I am still impressed none the less. :)
